Joseph Matara - Founder and Director of GRACE Initiative Joseph Matara

He Has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, an MBA in Computer Information Systems and a CPA license

GRACE Initiative was founded in 2010 by Mr. Joseph Matara who currently lives in the United States of America. Joseph was born in Kenya and spent his formative years in the country before moving to the United States to further his education. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, an MBA in Computer Information Systems and a CPA license. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree, he secured a job as an accountant in the chemical manufacturing industry. After six years, he realized that he wanted to work in area that offered more than a paycheck. He made a conscious decision to work in the not-for-profit industry where his work had a bigger impact in other people’s lives. He spent the next twenty years working in community development; working on issues including affordable housing, early childhood education, job creation, career development, wealth creation, homelessness and care for the elderly.

Denis Moriasi - Chairman Denis Moriasi

Denis is the Chairman of the GRACE Initiative Board. He holds a M.A Sociology from Chaudhary Charan Sing University, Meerut. He has extensive experience in programs and management and currently works as the Managing Director at Kenya Canine Kennels.

Elka .K. Motanya - Secretary GRACE Initiative board Elka .K. Motanya

Elka is the Secretary of the GRACE Initiative board. She is a Certified Public Secretary and is the Group company secretary and Legal affairs manager at Mini Group of Companies.

Brenda Manyange - Official in the board Brenda Manyange

Brenda Manyange, is a banker at a commercial bank in Kenya. She holds a Bachelors of education degree from Kenyatta University and an MBA in Strategic management from The University of Nairobi.

Vincent Rapando - Official in the board Brenda Manyange

Vincent Rapando is a Global Social Entrepreneur, and a Strategic Partnerships and Resource Development advisor for Corporates and International Not-for-Profit organizations with over 10 years’ experience. Mr. Rapando is currently the Coordinator of the Chandaria Youth Empowerment Program (CYEP), a board member of Starehe Girls’ Centre & School and a director of African Entrepreneurial Network Ltd among others. He holds a BSC degree in International Business Administration (IBA) Finance option from United States International University Africa, a post graduate Certificate in Global Social and Sustainable Entrepreneurship (G.S.S.E) from Colorado State University and and an  MBA in Global Social and Sustainable Entrepreneurship from United States International University-Africa. In addition, he is a certified design thinking Coach and holds an Executive Certificate in the Role of Public Policy in Private Sector Development organized by Strathmore Business School in Partnership with Freeman Spogli Institute for International studies, Stanford University. Rapando is also a leader and active in many social work at the Lions Club District 411A.
